UL girls loses on the road to Bellaire Big Reds

BELLAIRE — The host Big Reds defeated visiting Union Local Monday night in girls’ basketball action inside the ‘House of Champions.’

Zara Harveth scored 15 points and Rhyan O’Grady added 13 to lead Bellaire. Eliana Mason chipped in 10. Harveth and O’Grady also split 10 rebounds. Sidney Rowson charted five steals.

St. Clairsville 58, Beaver Local 44

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Kesslee Barrera netted 19 points and Alexa Druzin finished with 11 as the Red Devils topped the visiting Beaver on John Jenkins Court.

Beallsville 52, Bridgeport 33

BEALLSVILLE — The Blue Devils held serve on their home court Monday, getting 14 points apiece from Kinley Hughes and Karly Showalter in the victory.

Raegan Lucas joined her teammates in double figures with 11, while Chloe McCulley had seven.

For Bridgeport, Hannah Brewer scored eight points, while Brooke Stewart and Allanah Summer each scored six.

Monroe Central 59, Buckeye Local 52

WOODSFIELD — Mayzie Emery tallied seven of her team-high 26 points as the host Seminoles (5-1) held off the Panthers.

Emery had 16 of her total in the first half. Brylee McFrederick netted seven of her nine points in the fourth quarter. Riley Bettinger added eight points and five assists.

Jacey English had nine rebounds and five steals.

Pam Kandrach led all scorers in the game with 29 for Buckeye Local. Brynn McKeever finished with 11.

Barnesville 55,

Shenandoah 43

SARAHSVILLE — Ellie Thomspn netted a game-high 24 points as the visiting Shamrocks defeated the Zeps.

Abigail Johnson added 10 points for Barnesville.

Cameron 78, Valley 31

PINE GROVE — The Dragons scorched their sectional foe Monday, getting 24 points from Youngstown State signee Ashlynn Van Tassell in the victory.

Macey Bertram scored 11 points for Cameron, Maci Neely added 10 and Ashlee Dobbs scored eight.

Valley senior Winter Higgins scored 16 points for the Lumberjills, while sophomore Laken Dawson scored eight.

Girls

John Marshall Outrolls Wheeling Park

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Monarchs (2-1) claimed a 1,562 to 1,335 triumph over the Patriots at St. Clair Lanes.

Reagan Gorby led John Marshall with a 171 game and a 297 series while Shelby Crow added a 166 and 291, respectively.

Emma Wear paced Wheeling Park with a 274 series with games of 132 and 142.

Bridgeport, Wheeling Central Split

Boys

WELLSBURG — The Maroon Knights coasted to a 1,255 to 804 victory over the Bulldogs at Dirty Dog Lanes.

Xavier Millhouse rolled games of 156 and 167 for a 323 series to lead Wheeling Central.

Girls

Bridgeport defeated Wheeling Central 1,255 to 1,085 as Larysa Brothers had games of 116 and 128 for a 289 series.

East Liverpool Splits With Brooke

Boys

WELLSBURG — The Bruins took a 1,969 to 1,686 win over the Potters at Dirty Dog Lanes as Dakota McMillan rolled a 230 game and a 357 series. Damian Maine had a 184 game and 351 series.

Jayden McDole led East Liverpool with a 183 game and a 325 series.

Girls

The Potters cruised past the Bruins 1,703 to 1,120 as Addison Rudibaugh rolled a 193 and 346.

Tegan Williams led Brooke with a 179 game and 311 series.
