River boys sinks the Blue Eagles
HANNIBAL — Kabel Isaly came within a point of equalling Magnolia’s total as River rolled past the visiting Blue Eagles, 50-29, inside the R.L. Potts Gymnasium.
The senior guard netted 17 of his 28 in the first half as the Pilots broke a 11-all stalemate after one quarter with a 13-6 advantage in the second.
He was held scoreless in the third quarter, but the Blue eagles could only net three points themselves.

Lucas Dennis added nine points for River.
Dubale Greathouse and Hunter Oates evenly divided 14 for Magnolia. Kingston Christen and Hayden Pyles had six each.

BEVERLY — The Maroon Knights got nine points or more from five different players in a Thursday win over the Cadets.
Eli Dean led the way with 14, followed by Quinton Burlenski and Troy Anthony, each with 12. Jeremy Ratcliffe scored 10 while Max Olejasz scored nine.
Zach Huffman led Fort Frye with 21 points.
Woods County Christian 53, Beallsville 43
WILLIAMSTOWN — The Blue Devils couldn’t dig themselves out of an early hole against the Wildcats.
Beallsville trailed 19-7 after the first quarter, and though they outscored Woods County Christian 36-34 the rest of the way, the first-frame deficit proved too much.
Kayson Hoff scored 14 for Beallsville, and Ayson McBride scored 13. Logan Taylor scored nine.
Lude Davis led the victorious Wildcats with 17.
Barnesville 66, Bellaire 38
BARNESVILLE — The host Shamrocks (13-9) trailed 29-28 at the half, but outscored the visiting Big Reds 38-9 in the second half.
Asa Geilinger netted 31 points, 18 in the second half, to lead Barnesville. He also surpassed the 1,000-point mark for his career. Duker Castello added 15 and Casey Carpenter 13.
Mac Mac Pettigrew and Mayson Sochor evenly split 26 for Bellaire. Caleb Jewell had eight.

Cameron 77, Parkersburg South 65
CAMERON — The Dragons downed a Class AAAA opponent Thursday behind two double-doubles from their star pair.
Ashlynn Van Tassell scored 35 points to go with 15 rebounds in the win. Kenzie Clutter scored 10 points and dished 11 assists, putting her over 500 on her career. Clutter already owns the school assist record.
Ashlee Dobbs scored 15 for the Dragons, and Maci Neely scored 14.
Gracie Shamblin led Parkersburg South with 15.

West Liberty Routs Fairmont State
WEST LIBERTY — On a night where they honored eight seniors prior to the final home dual of the 2023-24 season, the No. 3 Hilltoppers cruised to a 40-3 victory. They notched a total of five bonus-point wins in the dual, including a trio of technical falls by Vincent Scollo, Nico Taddy, and Weirton Madonna grad Alec Cook while Ty McGeary once again added a win by fall and Khyvon Grace secured a major decision.
