Ben Shields from St. Clairsville High School competes at the New Balance National track meet in Boston, MA in the two-mile on Saturday March 9. He won his heat with a new St. Clairsville indoor record of 9:17.30. The previous weekend he finished third in the 3200 at the OATCCC D2/3 Indoor track meet at Spire Institute in Geneva, OH. Shields is committed to run Division 1 cross country and track at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh in the fall 2024.
