A St. Clairsville alum is making waves outside the Ohio Valley, as former Red Devil Adam Vincenzo coached Delaware Hayes to the Ohio Division I final four with the Pacers 74-56 win vs. Olentangy Orange last month at Ohio Dominican University.

The Pacers made their first state tournament appearance in school history, ultimately losing to Cleveland St. Ignatius in the Division I semifinals 54-53 to finish their season 27-2. Their recent district championship was the school’s first since 1986.

Vincenzo is in his fifth season as the Hayes head coach, and was named the Columbus Dispatch’s 2024 Dispatch All-Metro Coach of the Year for boys basketball earlier this month.
