St. C ends 11-1 game against Beaver Local in six innings

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Red Devils (4-0) remained undefeated with a six-inning victory over the visiting Beavers at Memorial Park.

Mikey Balgo went the first five innings on the bump, striking out 10 and walking a pair.

Hunter Hoffman keyed the nine-hit attack with a single and double that knocked in three runs. Braylen Blomquist drove in two runs with a pair of doubles and Marcus Bush Singled in two runs.

Colt Florence had a run-scoring triple and Caleb Keenan an RBI single.

Barnesville 3, Fort Frye 2

BEVERLY — Aydon VanHorn launched a three-run homer in the top of the seventh to lift the Shamrocks (4-0) over the Cadets.

Jaxon Wiley had a pair of singles and picked up the win on the mound with three strikeouts. Marshall Meade earned the save.

Gilmer County 11, River 8

GLENVILLE — The Titans tallied four runs in the fifth and another in the sixth to rally past the Pilots at Glenville State University.

Peyton Blue drove in three runs for River with a single and double. Lucas Dennis singled twice and knocked in a pair.

Beallsville 13, Paden City 2

PADEN CITY — Freshman Kayson Hoff fired a four-hitter with 12 strikeouts and also drove in four runs with a single and home run. Tyler Stoffel added two singles and a pair of ribbies.

Kayden Myers doubled in both runs for the Wildcats (5-6).

Tyler Consolidated 4, Clay-Battelle 0

KIDWELL — The Silver Knights (7-2) swept a pair from the visiting Cee-Bees before departing for South Carolina.

In the opener, Reece Davis and Tyler Ferrell combined on a two-hitter, with Ferrell picking up the win in relief.

Gabriel Jackson had a two-run triple and Zade Billings a solo home run.

In the nightcap, the same pitching combo toed the runner again, but Davis struck out 12 in four-plus innings for the win. He also slammed a two-run homer.

Ethan Clark tripled twice to knock in a pair while Owen Westbrook singled and homered for two ribbies.

Tyler Consolidated plays Archbishop Carroll Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Waccamaw High School in Pawleys Island.

SHADYSIDE — The Tigers (4-2) swept past the visiting Red Devils at the Mead Township Park Complex as Taylor Fulton earned the win inside the circle in both outings. She picked up the first in relief.

Macy Hendershot hit for the cycle on the day with a single, double and triple in the opener. She slugged a home run in the second and finished with five RBI. Abby Gorrell had six hits (3 singles, 3 doubles) and drove in five runs.

ST. JOE — The Big Reds banged out 29 hits in the two games at the Bellaire Middle School diamond, with Abby Kovach slugging three home runs and driving in eight runs in the opener. Winning pitcher Majestique Jackson added three singles that produced a trio of runs, while Rachel Porter doubled twice.

Alayna Cook and Sophia Monkl each doubled in a run for the Cadets.

In the nightcap, Sidney Roswon singled and doubled twice to plate five runs for Bellaire. Ally Ault singled twice, doubled and knocked in two runs while Porter had two singles, a double and an RBI. Jackson had three singles and a ribbie.

Lexi Finley drove in two runs with a pair of singles for Linsly. Cook had three singles and an RBI.
