Cameron shuts out Magnolia

CAMERON — Cameron stayed alive in the West Virginia Class A Region I, Section I double-elimination baseball tournament Friday with an 8-0 shutout of visiting Magnolia.

Zayde Long (4Ks), Lance Hartley (6Ks) and Soier Reed (2Ks) combined for a dozen strikeouts and allowed just three singles to lead the Dragons into another elimination game today as Paden City visits at 10 a.m.

Hunter Evans singled twice to drive in three runs and pace Cameron’s 11-hit attack. Kasun Angel added a single and double to account for a pair of ribbies. Reed singled twice and knocked in a run while Colton Winters singled in another.
