The Wheeling Nailers prep for Game 4

WHEELING – Wheeling is on the brink of elimination from the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs. The Nailers find themselves in a 3-0 hole to the Toledo Walleye as the Central Division Finals enter Game 4 tonight inside WesBanco Arena.

The puck drops at 7:10.

Should Wheeling win tonight and stay alive, Game 5 will be played Saturday night, also at 7:10, inside WesBanco Arena. Games 6 and 7, if necessary, would be played in Toledo on Monday and Tuesday.

The Walleye took Games 1 and 2 in Toledo by the scores of 2-1 in overtime and 5-3, respectively, before collecting a 7-3 win Wednesday night in the Friendly City.

Jaxon Castor has started in net during all seven playoff games for the Nailers this season. However, he was replaced by Garret Sparks in the second period on Wednesday.

Toledo is a perfect 6-0 in this year’s postseason.
