Frontier Cougars take down the Shadyside Tigers
NEW MATAMORAS — After being swept by the Shadyside Tigers a week ago, the Frontier Cougars flip the script on their foes Thursday, sweeping the Tigers 25-20, 25-22, 25-16.
Seizing home court advantage after traveling to Shadyside this time, the Cougars move to 6-11 after the victory.
For the Tigers (7-12), Josey Greenwood led the way with five kills, while Ella Mercer and Giovanna Hines each had four. Ali Weatherson led with 16 assists, and had nine digs. Aubrey Nippert paced the team in that department with 14 digs as well as a team-high three aces.

STEUBENVILLE — Big Red were felled by the Hawks on Thursday in a close contest.
Hayden Hicks scored for Steubenville, assisted by Cole Bowers. Robby Lucas had seven saves in goal.
Davion Huckaby, Nate Lindsay and Brock Shuba each scored for University. Finn Worstorff had 10 saves in the victory.
Big Red falls to 8-3-3 after the loss, and next faces Steubenville Catholic on Oct. 5 in the ‘Together We Care’ event.
