WHEELING — This year’s Ron Mauck Memorial Scholarship Golf Outing will be held at Oglebay Park’s Crispin Golf Course in Wheeling on June 19.

Proceeds go to a scholarship fund for a deserving OVAC wrestler and is presented annually at the OVAC’s Spring Banquet of Champions.

The golfing activities include a four-ball scramble, dinner, and prizes with plenty of laughs and memories of Ron Mauck’s dedication to the OVAC for over 60 years.

For his undaunted efforts to the mat sport the OVAC wrestling Tournament was named in his honor in 2006.

The registration for the event is 12 noon on June 19. It will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m., with dinner and prizes at 6 p.m. The entry fee is $100 per golfer. If you are interested in playing or being a sponsor, contact Jay Mauck at (304) 639-6111 or Dr. Dan Doyle at (304) 281-5348.
