Donald Dean Lloyd, age 79, of Sardis, OH, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025, at Wetzel County Hospital in New Martinsville, WV.

He was born December 1, 1946, in New Martinsville, a son of the late Dean Lloyd and Mary Howell Lloyd. He was a retired coal miner with North American #1 Mine and Beth Energy in Buckhannon, WV.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary R. Lloyd and infant brother, Bobby Lloyd.

Survivors include one son, David Lloyd of Powell, OH; one daughter, Kellie Lloyd Ricker of Portland, OR; two granddaughters, Jessica (Tom) Tupy of Portland and Megan Ricker also of Portland; one great-granddaughter, Bridgit Slone of Portland, OR; one brother, Mike (Kitty) Lloyd of Hannibal, OH; one sister, Iva Lou Lloyd of Sardis, OH; and six nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Friday December 5, 2025 from 11a.m. until time of service at 1p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 37234 Mound St, Sardis, OH. Burial with military honors will follow at Harter Cemetery in Hannibal, OH.
