Visiting River defeats Frontier
BEAVERTOWN — Visiting River didn’t have a player with more than nine points but still took down Frontier, 37-30, in girls’ high school basketball action Monday night.
Ava Wohnhas and Zoey Fox both scored nine while Carleight Trifonoff finished with eight for the Pilots (12-10).
Anna Bowersock scored 11 and Addison Edgar had 10 for the Cougars (10-9).
Steubenville 53, Bellaire 41
BELLAIRE — Fresh off their OVAC WVU Medicine Class 5A Championship on Saturday, Big Red took down the Big Reds inside the ‘House of Champions.’
Phynyx Fleming led the winners with 23 points. Nylah McShan added 14.
Bellaire was paced by Aubree Hines with 15 and Tamya Morgan with 11.
Edison 51, Cameron 36
RICHMOND — The Wildcats defended their home court on Monday against the visiting Dragons, led by 16 points from Sophia Henderson.
Abigail Boka (11) and Lacie Pelley (10) joined their teammate in double figures.
Macey Bertram scored 15 to pace the Dragons while Addison Stern scored eight.

WILLIAMSTOWN — The Wildcats rolled past the visiting Dragons.
Danny Yoss had 16 of Cameron’s points. Colin Magers added seven.

Monroe Central 54, River 43
HANNIBAL — Deadlocked at 17 at the half, the Seminoles used a 22-7 scoring advantage in the third quarter to capture the Monroe County battle inside the R.L. Potts Gymnasium.
Cooper Howell led all scorers with 19 points to pace Monroe Central. Corbin Farnsworth and Caedyn Silva added 12 each.
EVan Longwell led the Pilots with 16 markers. Crestyn Isaly chipped in 10.
