Bethany Bison’s Lindsey Best, Lindsey Garrison honored by conference
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — The Bethany College women’s basketball team has four players who earned 2025-26 All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball awards. Freshman guard Lindsey Best, a Rayland resident and Martins Ferry graduate, was named the 2025-26 PAC Newcomer of the Year, graduate guard Lindsey Garrison, a Triadelphia native and Wheeling Park alum was named to the All-PAC first team.
Best becomes Bethany’s first Newcomer of the Year since the 2021-22 season. In her breakout freshman season, she appeared in 25 games making 19 starts where she led the team with 79 assists. Best also scored 238 points on the year for 9.5 points per game all while shooting 44.1% with 13 three-point field goals. She recorded 132 rebounds on the year for an average of 5.2 per game and added 34 steals and seven blocks. Best won PAC Newcomer of the Week a record seven times in 2025-26 including five straight from January 12 to February 9.
Garrison earns her fourth all-conference selection and her third career spot on the All-PAC First Team. After appearing in all 27 games and making 26 starts, she led the team in scoring with 411 points for an average of 15.2 per game. Garrison shot 45.4% from the floor including a team-best 36.9% from three with 58 made three-pointers. She also shot 83.5% from the free-throw line and added 66 assists, 45 rebounds, 35 steals, and one block on the year. Earlier in the season, Garrison broke the program record for most three-point field goals in a career with her 205th and also eclipsed 1,500 career points. Garrison was also named to the 2025-26 PAC All-Tournament Team.
In her career, Garrison has appeared in 109 games, making 106 starts. She has scored 1,652 points in her career, which ranks fourth on the program’s all-time scoring leaderboard, and has a lifetime average of 15.1 points per game. Garrison has also made 261 three-pointers, the most in program history, and has added 199 rebounds, 177 assists, 157 steals, and nine blocks. She is a four-time PAC Player of the Week, a three-time PAC Newcomer of the Week, a former PAC Newcomer of the year, a former D3hoops.com Rookie of the Year, and a D3hoops.com All-Region selection. Off the court, Garrison is a former PAC SAAC Scholar Athlete of the Month and a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honoree.
