The Shadyside American Legion has been a sponsoring partner with the Shadyside Relays for several decades. Continuing with their service, Legion representatives, Commander Roger Burkhart sitting far right and Willy Merryman third from right, present a check to new Shadyside Athletic Director Louis Matsakis. Sitting far left is longtime Relays committee member Jerry Narcisi. The Shadyside Relays, Ohio’s Finest, could not be possible without the support of the community. This year’s Shadyside Relays, the 55th annual, will be held this Saturday at Shadyside’s Fleming Field starting at 9 a.m. with finals unfolding about 12:30 p.m. Helping support this year’s events are several major sponsors.
