OVAC Samuel A. Mumley All-Star Basketball Game Set For April 12
ST. CLAIRSVILLE – The Ohio Valley Athletic Conference members had a basketball season to remember.
And there is still one more chance to catch a glimpse of the senior standouts before they officially call it a career.
Sixty seniors, representing 34 schools, will take part in the annual OVAC Samuel A. Mumley All-Star Basketball Game on Sunday, April 12 at the ECO Center in St. Clairsville.
The girls’ game will tip off at 1 p.m. and the boys will tip off 20 minutes after the girls game concludes.
Along with the games, there will be a 3-point shootout at halftime of the girls game and a slam dunk contest during the boys intermission.
Numerous special awards will be presented during the course of the afternoon. Those being honored include: Dan Liedtke (Richard Saffield Girls Coach), Stan Kaniecki (Thomas E. Rataiczak Timer/Scorekeeper Award), Tom Wise (Earl Haberfield Boys Coach Award), Jim Prati (Robert Dawson Officials Award) and Tony Marvin (Bob Burton Distinguished Service)
Along with those accolades, numerous scholarships will be awarded.
