High School Roundup: Union Local Blasts Dragons; Bellaire Shuts Out Pilots
MORRISTOWN – Brody Gregor scattered three singles, struck out three and walked three in pitching the Jets past the visiting Dragons, 15-4. He threw 68 pitches, of which 40 were strikes.
Evan Poziviak drove in three runs with a trio of singles, while Kam Gordon doubled in two more. Eli Rogers delivered a two-run single, while Dustin Stitt and Wyatt Ogilbee evenly divided four singles and two ribbies. Karson Grigaitis had a run-producing base hit.
Kason Angel singled twice and knocked in a run for Cameron. Zayde Long had an RBI.

Bellaire 3, River 0
SARDIS – Marissa Pacifico struck out eight, walked two and spaced out two hits as the visiting Big Reds (11-14) blanked the Pilots (18-7).
Jaela Phillips singled, doubled and drove in a run for Bellaire. Calleigh Holt singled and doubled.
Ava Wohnhas fanned seven, didn’t walk a batter and gave up six hits in taking the loss.
Alyvia Bayes and Carly Winkler each doubled for River.
Caldwell 17, Shadyside 4
CALDWELL – The visiting Tigers were limited to just three hits in their lop-sided loss to the Redskins.
Reese Burkhart had a run-scoring single while Cam Kolvek delivered a sacrifice fly for another RBI.
Edison 11, Union Local 1
RICHMOND — The Wildcats cracked open the game against the Jets in the fifth inning, plating five runs to trigger a run-rule victory Thursday.
Alli Kellaway and Khloe Gallagher each hit doubles for Union Local, Gallagher knocking in the Jets’ lone run, driving in Kellaway in the fourth inning.
Evie Blakely struck out three inside the circle for Union Local. Six of Edison’s 11 runs were scored as unearned.
