High School Roundup: Buckeye Local Defeats East Liverpool, Edison

RAYLAND - Buckeye Local picked up a pair of boys' high school golf victories Thursday morning with wins over East Liverpool and Edison at Bec-Wood Golf Course.

The Panthers (4-1) shot a 177, with the Potters finishing with a 183 and the Wildcats 189.

Buckeye Local's Dugan Dobrovich fired a 36 for medalist honors.

John Marshall Places Seventh at WVGA Invite

DANIELS, W.Va. - The West Virginia Golf Association High School Series National Guard Invitational was held at Glade Springs Resort Golf Club.

Twenty-nine teams participated with Hurricane winning the team title with a score of 213. John Marshall finished seventh at 244, while Linsly (248) was 11th, Wheeling Central (258) 15th and Weir (283) 25th.

Individually, the top five scores were honored.

Hurricane's Isaac Hayes fired a 68 to nip teammate Parker O'Dell who shot 569. John Marshall's Drew Marling finished seventh with a 74.
