PORTSMOUTH -- The River Pilots started their season with a win Thursday, trouncing Notre Dame 41-6 behind a big day on the ground by Wyatt Stalder.
Stalder ran for three touchdowns to begin his senior season with a bang. Trey Larrick also ran for a touchdown. Evan Longwell caught a touchdown pass from sophomore QB Cam Abbott, and also snagged an interception on the other side of the ball. Abbott ran in for a touchdown to cement the rout.
River next travels to play Buckeye Local, their second-straight road game to open the season. The Pilots' home debut will not come until the week after vs. Oak Glen.

MARIETTA - The Red Devils were doubled up by the host Tigers.
Trevor Tuttle and Camden Judge had goals for St. Clairsville. Assists went to Lucas Causey and James Parsons.
The Red Devils (2-1) host Brooke on Tuesday.
