MARTINS FERRY - State-ranked Martins Ferry kept rolling along in girls' high school volleyball action by sweeping past visiting Bellaire 25-10, 25-11 and 25-9 to raise its record to 13-0, with 10 of those victories coming in just three sets.
Olivia Harkness recorded 35 assists and Giana Chirpas contributed 14 kills and four blocks for the Purple Riders, who entered the week ranked No. 2 in Ohio Division V behind Coldwater. SJ Koller added 18 digs and Maddie Lucas charted 10. Nicole Hammerquist and London Hodor each had eight kills.
Martins Ferry plays at Barnesville on Monday.
River Sweeps Frontier
HANNIBAL - The Pilots received 22 points, 21 kills and 14 assists from Mallarie Maddy and Hallie Hammel added 20 points, 18 kills and 16 digs as River rolled past the visiting Cougars by scores of 25-13, 25-9 and 25-11.
Karly Showalter added 22 assists, while Gracen Reed charted 15 assists and Aubrey Fetty 14 digs.

MOUNDSVILLE - Aiden McCrosky had a pair of goals and two assists as the Patriots blanked the Monarchs at Monarch Stadium.
Chase Smith and Isaac Welling also found the back of the net, while Wade Barbour and Max Sklavounakis added assists.
Jacob Robinson only made one save in earning the shutout.

STEUBENVILLE – Big Red delivered two goals in the first half and one more in the second – with all three coming via set piece en route to a victory against the offensively-potent Red Devils Thursday night on Reno Saccoccia Field inside Harding Stadium.
The victory was an historic one as it was win No. 250 for Big Red head coach Greg Bowers. Bowers is in his 22nd season as head coach at Big Red. Bowers has a career record of 250-107-43 at the school.
Joel Elliott, Chase Beall and Landon Bowers scored for Steubenville.

ST. CLAIRSVILLE - Elizabeth Morgan and Emma Gasber scored three goals each and Kiya Kyer extended her program record shutout total to 31 as she only had to make two saves.
Felicity Morgan, Reagan Gaiser and Ashlynn Lednik all scored twice. Molly Schultz and Shekinah Palmer also had goals. Schultz also tallied five assists, while Elizabeth Morgan had three, while Gasber, Felicity MorganPalmer, McKenzie Kralovic and Kaylee Shafer all had one helper.

WHEELING -- The Wheeling Park girls scored early -- and often -- on their way to a 10-0 victory over visiting Ringgold Thursday at Wheeling Island Stadium.
The game ended nearly 30 minutes early due to West Virginia's mercy rule.
Junior striker Brenna Tipton paced the Patriots with four goals. She opened the scoring in the second minute, taking a through-pass from Regan Ricker and beating the goalie for a 1-0 lead. Tipton added her second just four minutes later on an assist from Molly Bradshaw.
It stayed that way for the next nine minutes until junior transfer Riley Wright, making her 2026 debut, got on the board. She took a pass from Tipton and used a powering shot off her left foot to make the score 3-0.
Senior Corin McFarland scored just three minutes later, with an assist to Kailey Swartz. Bradshaw then took a pass from Wright a minute later and scored to make it 5-0. Tipton secured her hattrick with five minutes left in the opening half on a nice pass from Bradshaw to make it 6-0 at the break.
The second half saw the scoring continue. Tipton and Bradshaw teamed up again just two minutes in to make the score 7-0, marking her fourth goal. Bradshaw then hit a brilliant free kick from 32 yards out into the top left corner of the net to make it 8-0. Aria Swartz scored off a rebound from a Maggie Miller free kick, and Elliana McCabe closed the match off an assist from Riley Wright to make it 10-0.
Wheeling Park (6-1-2) travels Saturday to the Eastern Panhandle to face Musselman (3-6).

NEW MANCHESTER - Bailey Watts had three goals and a trio of assists as the Golden Bears blanked the Wildcats.
Oak Glen goalkeeper Camryn Richards was untested as she was not called upon to make a save.
Angelina Polly scored twice, while Kendall Krzys, Chloe Thompson, Mandy Wilson and Addison Hutchison also scored goals. Krzys and Brianna Polly each added two assists. Amelia Kampmeyer had an assist.

CADIZ - Cash Meadows carded a 37 as the Huskies defeated the Red Knights, 166-183 Thursday at the Cadiz Country Club.
Steven O'Halek fired a 40 to lead Toronto.
