WHEELING - St. Clairsville experienced no hangover from its Buckeye 8 boys' golf championship on Tuesday with a triangular match victory Wednesday over Wheeling Park and Weir at the Jones Course at Speidel Golf Club.
The Red Devils shot a 311, which was 11 shots better than the Patriots. The Red Riders were a distant third at 383.
Wheeling Park's Seth Weidner earned medalist honors with a 74. That was a shot better than St. Clairsville's Beau Mooney. Jackson Conway fired a 76, followed by Ryan Mooney's 77 and Mason Conway's 83.
Brody Groome and Connor Ball carded 79 and 82, respectively, for the Patriots.
Harrison Boys Fall
CADIZ - Cash Meadows shot 43 but visiting Claymont had two individuals lower than that as the Mustangs prevailed 165-183 over the Huskies at the Cadiz Country Club.
Owen Lindsey was medalist with a 36, two shots better than teammate Brayson Gray.

CADIZ - Reese Dunlap continued her solid play with a 44 as the Huskies ran away from the Mustangs, 217-261.
Ella Smith had a 49 for Harrison Central.
VOLLEYBALL
River Overwhelms Tyler
HANNIBAL -- The Pilots suffered just one setback in a four-set victory over the Knights on Wednesday, winning 25-15, 25-17, 12-25, 25-11.
Mallarie Maddy supplied the offense for River, totalling 30 kills as well as seven digs.
Hallie Hammel backed up Mady with 14 kills of her own.
Gracen Reed racked up 35 assists as the Pilot setter.
Aubrey Fetty led River's defensive efforts with 30 digs, while Reed and Hammel each had 14.
River is 6-0 on the season.
BOYS SOCCER
Wheeling Central 7, Oak Glen 2
WHEELING -- The Maroon Knights ran their unbeaten streak to five to open the season with the victory against the Golden Bears.
Six different players recorded a goal for Central (4-0-1). Senior Carter Oliver struck for the first and final goals of the match.
In between, Maddox Ochap, JD Schoolcraft, Cooper Crews, Shaun Mikels and Owen Mullin tallied.
Assists were credited to Luke Hevener (2) and Schoolcraft (2).
Oak Glen, which became the first team to score against Central, received its goals from Chase Hartung and Jordan Tomsic.

Oak Glen Defeats Union Local
MORRISTOWN - The Jets were led by Edyn McGary with seven kills in their loss to the visiting Golden Bears by scores of 25-12, 25-13 and 25-20.
Jaime Bolon, Bryleigh Reed and Ramsey Butler all had three kills each.
Big Reds Prevail In Five-Setter
BELLAIRE -- Bellaire defeated visiting Shadyside in a five-set slugfest on Tuesday, 23-25, 25-22, 25-16, 21-25, 15-11.
Addasyn Melanko and Ava Mercer each reached double-digit kills for Shadyside with 13 and 10, respectively. Melanko and Mercer were difference-makers defensively as well with 20 and 18 digs. Molly Boltz likewise had 20 digs for the Tigers.
Ella Weeks set-up her Tiger teammates with 29 assists, while Melanko led the team in aces with five. Camryn Long swatted down four blocks for Shadyside.
