SANDUSKY - St. Clairsville prepped for Tuesday's OVAC Class 4A golf tournament on the Jones Course at the Speidel Golf Club by placing second in the 18-team Amusement Park Classic at Plumbrook Country Club on Saturday.
The Red Devils shot a 299, which was four shots behind Division I Hoover.
Beau Mooney carded a 70 to finish as medalist runnerup to Hoover's Carter Hershberger who fired a sizzling 67.
Other scorers for St. Clairsville were Mavrik Malin (73, 6th) and Mason Conway (76, 14th). Ryan Mooney and Jackson Conway both shot 80.
The Red Devils are four-time OVAC Class 4A champions.

Wheeling Park 3, Martinsburg 2
MARTINSBURG -- The Patriots returned Saturday from the long trek to Martinsburg with a narrow victory over the Bulldogs.
Graham Loy, Tristin Gonzalez and Aiden McCroskey each scored goals in a team effort for Park, while Brayden Hedges and Isaac Welling had assists. Jacob Robinson made four saves in-goal.
Ben Williams had both of Martinsburg's tallies.
Wheeling Central 2, Sissonville 1
SISSONVILLE — The Maroon Knights stayed unbeaten with a hard-earned 2-1 win against the Indians on Saturday.
Central received both of its goals from junior JD Schoolcraft.
Senior Tino Sperlazza was strong in net en route to the win.

Wheeling Central 4, Sissonville 0
SISSONVILLE — The Maroon Knights improved to 9-1 on the season with a 4-0 victory Saturday afternoon.
The Knights struck early, racing to a three-goal lead in the first eight minutes.
Junior Loni Kusic struck twice in the game, while classmate Elizabeth Steele and sophomore Elah Konkle also tallied.
Assists were credited to Konkle (2) and Steele.
Senior Bella Fitzsimmons posted four saves in net.

Barnesville Sweeps Union Local
MORRISTOWN - The visiting Shamrocks earned bragging rights in western Belmont County Saturday with a clean sweep of the Jets. Barnesville (5-4) prevailed by scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 25-19 inside The Hangar.
Avery Bliss stuffed the stat sheet for Barnesville with 15 points, 10 kills, six digs and a pair of aces. Londyn Gibson added 18 assists, nine digs and two points. Makenna Marley had 10 points, five digs and four aces, while Brielle VanHorn finished with eight points, eight kills and two aces. Alivia Smolira added five blocks and six kills. Brooklyn Miller had eight digs.
Ramsey Butler led the Jets with three aces and a trio of kills. Edyn McGary registered seven kills, as did Kaelynn Johnston. Khloe Gallagher added three kills and Jaime Bolon two blocks.
