Ninth Annual Bordas & Bordas Amateur Golf Classic Planned

WHEELING – The ninth Bordas & Bordas Amateur Golf Classic is set for June 13-14 at Oglebay Park’s Crispin Course (Par 71) in Wheeling. This is one of the oldest two-day, amateur golf tournaments in the tri-state dating back to the late 1920s. A purse of $10,000 is up for grabs in Oglebay gift cards. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Oglebay Foundation and its Access to the Parks program, allowing underprivileged kids to use Oglebay and Wheeling Park for free. Ohio Valley Baseball League To Start Taking Swings Sunday

One of the summer staples is ready to take its swings again. The Ohio Valley Baseball League will take to the field Sunday when Maynard travels to Bethany in a season opener at 1 p.m. In addition to the aforementioned squads, the other two are Crescent and Barton.
