Stanley Steemer Breathes Fresh Air Into Your Home

Originating in Pittsburgh, the local franchisee owns and operates a location in Wintersville. Anthony Eonta, general manager, would like to re-acquaint the business with the community. Take another look … this isn’t the same ole Stanley Steemer!

Beginning in ’47, Stanley Steemer began cleaning carpet and upholstery in and around Columbus. Fast forward 70 years and the company has expanded service offerings to include tile and grout, wood, air duct cleaning and water damage restoration for your home or business.

“We are open for business Monday-Saturday and never let the phone go unanswered,” said Eonta, adding that the company has a 24 hour response team in place for more urgent situations like water damage. For service requests or general questions please call 1-800- STEEMER. Recently the company has embarked on a significant marketing campaign to raise awareness for and interest in the improvement of indoor air quality. The EPA has said that indoor air can be anywhere from 2-5 times more toxic than the outdoor environment right outside the front door.

“We have been certified asthma and allergy friendly through the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. Currently, Stanley Steemer is the only residential/commercial floor cleaning service with this type of accreditation. We have set the bar and set it very high. For instance, our systems, after having been put under the most rigorous testing possible, consistently removed 94 percent of all common household allergens from the carpet and 96 percent from both hardwood and tile floor surfaces. No other cleaning company can compete with those types of results. We can attribute the success to those in the Research and Development department back in Columbus and our people right here in Wintersville, who work very hard to deliver quality results day in and day out. Indoor Air Quality has become a big issue with homeowners.

We see it come to the forefront of our customer’s minds especially when there are young children present or soon will be. Improving the air we breathe inside our own home is no longer a want associated item but has more recently moved into the need category.”

Innovation and brand development have been the cornerstone of Stanley Steemer’s collective success. The local franchise has benefited along the way as corporate leaders guided the company’s expansion into a more diverse offering of service. While benefitting in certain ways, the Wintersville Stanley Steemer has always strived to be the best at what they do. Their longevity speaks for itself.

“Our company has been under the same management for over 27 years. During that time, we have experienced incremental growth from three trucks in 1990 to 22 in service today. At its core, our staff is made up of over 50 service technicians and customer service reps. We also have a few folks in management positions supporting operations that do a great job. One of the most dedicated is Dave Fagan, operations manager. Dave has been with the company over 10 years and cares infinitely about his team. Along with Brian Fike, assistant manager, Josh Kubacki, water mitigation Manager, Rich Province, fleet manager and Lori Derbaum, controller. We believe the example of everyone in leadership roles trickles down the organization and ultimately culminates with a quality job for our customers.”

The company banks on its reputation. “We’re a household name. Everyone knows Stanley Steemer,” he said.
