Area residents interested in volunteer opportunities are invited to consider the AARP Tax-Aide Program.
Tax-Aide is an all-volunteer service that provides free, confidential tax preparation and electronic filing. Volunteers do not need to be an AARP member or a retiree to participate. Prior experience doing tax returns is not necessary, but experience using computers is helpful.
People who are interested in volunteering can get information by calling 1-888-OUR-AARP (888-687-2277) or visiting www.aarp.org/taxaide.
