ALL-AMERICAN DAYS FESTIVAL

The annual All-American Days Festival takes place, naturally, in the All-American Town of Bellaire from June 1-3. The village park is the destination for entertainment, vendors, food and carnival rides for children. Held in Bellaire, OH 43906

BARNESVILLE PUMPKIN FESTIVAL

Barnesville is renowned for its four-day event that focuses on all things pumpkin. The crowning of the King Pumpkin is a highlight every year, with last year’s king weighing in at more than 1,000 pounds. The festival is always held the last full weekend in September, this year Sept. 21-24.

BELMONT COUNTY FAIR

This year’s county fair will take place Sept. 5-10. A family tradition since 1849, the fair boasts carnival rides, 4-H exhibits and shows, a demolition derby, truck and tractor pulls and more.

BETTY ZANE DAYS

This Aug. 1-5 festival takes place in the Martins Ferry City Park and features food, live music, carnival rides, a car show, a 5K race and more in honor of Betty Zane, a noted heroine of the Revolutionary War. CHAUTAUQUA DAYS

SHADYSIDE LOOP FESTIVAL

The Loop Fest takes place in June in Shadyside, bringing residents and out-of-town visitors together for food, music, a 5K memorial race and good times. It is planned June 16-17 this year.

GUERNSEY COUNTY FAIR

OHIO HILLS FOLK FESTIVAL

On the week of the second Saturday every July, Quaker City hosts the oldest continuously running festival in Ohio. It features country music, carnival rides, homecooked food, multiple parades and vintage photos at the municipal building. It will take place July 6-8 this season.

DEAN MARTIN FESTIVAL

Celebrating all things “Deano” in honor of Steubenville’s native son, the Dean Martin Festival,

set for June 15-18, encompasses music, food, entertainment and a good time for all.

HARRISON COUNTY

ADENA HERITAGE DAYS

The two-day festival is held every August, this year Aug. 11-12, to celebrate the heritage of Adena’s residents. Events include dancing at the community center, an afternoon parade, live music, softball games, bingo, corn bag toss tournaments and games for children. BABY BISON DAYS/INTERTRIBAL NATIVE AMERICAN POW WOW

Boss Bison Ranch is home to a summertime festival that invites Native American tribes from far and wide to bless the new baby bison. The nonprofit event provides food to Harcatus Food Pantry.

This year’s event will happen June 17-18. Wagon rides, food, nature, vendors and more will be included.

SCIO FALL FESTIVAL

Despite the name, the Scio Fall Festival is held for four days in mid-August, this year Aug. 9-12. The Fall Festival, aka the Scio Street Fair, puts on a large parade on Friday evening, with local bands and floats galore. The event brings in a variety of food vendors and amusement rides for children. Live music and bingo play huge parts in entertainment.

MARSHALL COUNTY

FESTIVAL OF COLORS

Also known as Holi, the Festival of Colors is the modern American version of a traditional Indian festival. This color festival is enjoyed by millions of people all over the world. It is great fun for the whole family. With events held in Moundsville, Pittsburgh and Columbus, there are multiple chances to experience the wonders of color and music. It is slated Sept. 16 this year at Moundsville.

OGLEBAYFEST

The annual thank-you to all who visit Oglebay Park throughout the year, Oglebayfest coincides with the Ohio County Country Fair. Dates this year are Oct. 6-8.

OHIO VALLEY RIB & CHICKEN COOK-OFF

UPPER OHIO VALLEY ITALIAN FESTIVAL

The annual weekend when everyone in the Ohio Valley is Italian, the Italian Fest features a bevy of food vendors, musical performances, activities for kids, bocce ball and even a fireworks display. This year’s festival will take place July 21-23.
