St. Clairsville Falls Into Region 4 Loser’s Bracket

MARIETTA – One bad inning was all it took to send St. Clairsville Post 159 into the loser’s bracket of the American Legion Baseball Region 4 Tournament Thursday night. Post 159 allowed seven runs in the bottom of the fourth, erasing a 1-0 lead, to Cambridge/Belle Valley Post 84/641 during a 8-4 doubling up at Marietta College’s Pioneer Park. Bieniek v.s Templin Will Highlight The Gaudino Memorial Tournament

A pair of Wheeling 10 year-olds will highlight the 5th annual Nick and Alice Gaudino Memorial golf tournament to be held at the Bloch Memorial Course at Wheeling Park. The event was rescheduled to Monday, July 20 at noon due to atmospheric conditions in the Wheeling area. The fifth-graders, who are also good friends as well as competitors, will highlight the event. Four More Wheeling Central Hall Of Fame Honorees Announced

WHEELING — The Wheeling Central Catholic High School Athletic Hall of Fame is announcing four more honorees for this year’s HOF induction ceremony. The quartet of Maroon Knight enshrines include Nicole Yahn, Dan Gordon, Aaron Schneid and Chris Martin as part of the Maroon Knight Hall of Fame Class of 2026. They join previously announced honorees Zac Stahl, Mo Mull and Alex Peluchette. Additional honorees will be chronicled next week.
