HAMMONDSVILLE — Edison Local Schools are celebrating after earning a gold award from the state for its Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) practices. The district received the distinction from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce for initiatives to bolster and reward positive behaviors in students at Stanton and John Gregg Elementary schools and Edison Jr./Sr. High School. Small step taken in EGCC transfer to Youngstown State University

STEUBENVILLE — A small step has been taken in the conversion of Eastern Gateway Community College’s Steubenville campus as a branch of Youngstown State University. Following their meeting Tuesday, the Jefferson County commissioners announced three former EGCC employees who had remained to monitor and maintain the Steubenville campus are now YSU employees.
