Ruth H. Mirich, 69 of Weatherford, TX, formally of Martins Ferry, OH, unexpectedly passed away on Sun. Nov. 20, 2022 at home. Ruth was born Sept. 22, 1953 the daughter of the late Nick and Elsie Mirich of Martins Ferry, OH. Ruth touched many lives as a one-of-a-kind teacher for 39 years with Bellaire ISD. Ruth was a passionate teacher who loved each one of her students like her own. Ruth made many lifelong friends with other teachers at Bellaire ISD whom she loved to keep in touch with. After Ruth retired, she moved to Weatherford, TX, to spend the rest of her days with her family. ...

Edward Ross Weekley, 98, passed on December 9th 2022 at the Cardinal Place in Cambridge, Ohio. Formerly lived in Senecaville, Ohio. He was a WWII veteran. He was a member of Church of Christ, Byesville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen, of 32 years. His parents and sisters: Dorothy, Mildred, Ruth, and Edna. Betty Jeanne (Vargo) Wharton, 85 of Colerain, OH passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Wheeling Hospital. She was born June 24, 1937, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Gocsik) Vargo. She worked for many years at the Total Sports Connection in Martins Ferry, and the Martins Ferry Chamber of Commerce, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary – Martins Ferry Post #38.
