Janet M. Newland, 88, of Bridgeport, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Wheeling Hospital. She was born August 3, 1934 in Holloway, Ohio, a daughter of the late Fred and Margaret Cush Hammel. Janet was the former secretary of Halley Newland & Sons Inc. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Halley Newland in 2004; a sister and brother-in-law, Delores and Rudy Painter. William R. Cappelletti, age 96 of Myrtle Beach, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022, at his home with his family by his side. Born December 31, 1925, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, he was the son of the late Louis and Yolanda Cappelletti. Mr. Cappelletti was a World War II, US Navy veteran and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
