Lewicki taking hockey skills to the big time

MOUNDSVILLE — Kristin Lewicki is skating to the Big Apple. The John Marshall High grad and former D-III college player-of-the-year has inked a contract with the Metropolitan Riveters of the National Women’s Hockey League. The Riveters are the reigning NWHL champions and based in Newark, N.J., a stone’s throw from New York City. Lewicki was a rookie last season while playing for Buffalo. CLAIRSVILLE — Former Alderson-Broaddus and St. Clairsville High standout Adam Jeffries had a brilliant showing on his home course at Belmont Hills Country Club to win the Tom Carney Best Ball Tournament last weekend. Jeffries was the low gross individual with rounds of 75 and 72, while Bill Sokolowski was the low net with rounds of 72 and 66. The overall team winners, however, were Dave Diosi and Andy Yanok. BL grid coach is very active in his daily life

Roger Herbert believes that a person should do as many things in his/her life as they can. He certainly has and continues to do so. The 39-year-old is entering his second season as head football coach at Buckeye Local. He also works full-time for the City of St. Clairsville.
