WHEELING — Bethlehem Apostolic Temple hosts its annual Thanksgiving food distribution on Saturday, but the church's 30th Christmas giveaway next month will see challenges this pandemic season. The Thanksgiving food distribution is set to happen at 11 a.m. Saturday at the North Wheeling Community Dream Center, 407 Main St., Wheeling. Italian metal and plastics manufacturer coming to Weirton

WEIRTON ­— On Wednesday, West Virginia Gov.Jim Justice announced an international manufacturer of metal and plastic containers will open its first U.S. plant at the Half Moon Industrial Park, investing $30 million in an unused facility there and creating at least 40 jobs. STEUBENVILLE — From the Jefferson County Board of Health's perspective, they did not have much choice Tuesday but to vote not to permit the Steubenville Christmas Parade. City provides space for Winter Freeze Shelter

WHEELING — With winter weather blowing into the Ohio Valley and COVID-19 cases on the rise, the city of Wheeling has agreed to allow facilities on the former Ohio Valley Medical Center site to be used by Youth Services System as its Winter Freeze Shelter this season. During a Tuesday meeting, Wheeling City Council passed a resolution adopting a memorandum of understanding between the city and YSS for use of space at OVMC from December through March.
