All Saints Day Mass held in Wheeling

ST. MICHAEL Parish students celebrate All Saints Day recently.

WHEELING — St. Michael Parish School’s first and eighth grade students led their school mass in November in celebration of All Saints Day.

Each year, the students in these classes spend the time leading up to the Feast of All Saints learning about four holy men and women of the church.

To share what they have learned, the boys and girls portray these saints and share their stories with the rest of the school community at the school Mass.

This year, Mrs. Carter’s class depicted St. Monica of Hippo and her son St. Augustine. In Miss Morris’s class, the students dressed as St. Padre Pio and St. Kateri Tekakwitha. Eighth graders from Mrs. Wolf’s class accompanied the little ones and told the tales of the lives of the saints portrayed.
