Girl Scout Troop #3354 makes blankets, inspirational posters for women’s shelter

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The nine remaining members of Girl Scout Troop #3354 have all been together for the past 11 years.

The troop was started by moms Amber Thornburg and Kelly Krock when the girls were in kindergarten. The girls are from St. Clairsville and Union Local High Schools.

Over the years the troop has completed numerous community service projects and participated in many adventures that have challenged them both physically and mentally including SCUBA diving and indoor skydiving.

The troop’s latest project was making blankets and inspirational posters for the local women’s shelter. They also collected hygiene items to donate.

Next the girls are planning on working toward their Gold Awards which is the highest award a Girl Scout can achieve.

The troop members include Leandra Hastings, Kimmy Dallas, Jenna Wodarcyk, Kendall Krock, Emily Woodford, Olivia Meager, Abbie Fausnaugh, Alaina Thornburg and Ava Bretz.
