MOUNDSVILLE — Grand Vue Park is preparing for a full slate of 2026 summer programming, with themed weekends, outdoor recreation events and seasonal activities scheduled from late June through October.

Grand Vue Park General Manager Craig White said the park continues to offer a mix of scheduled programming and signature attractions, including swimming, miniature golf and zip lining.

“It’s our goal to provide activities for all our guests staying in the park, as well as the community,” White said. “We hope Grand Vue is a place that the community can enjoy, so we have all kinds of activities planned for everybody to come up and try.”

The season begins with The Great Outdoors Weekend, scheduled for June 26-28. The weekend will feature outdoor recreation programming throughout the park.

On June 27, visitors can participate in Water Aerobics beginning at 10 a.m. at the GV Pool for $8 per class. The same day will also feature a Build and Paint a Birdhouse activity, allowing participants to construct and decorate birdhouses.

On June 28, Grand Vue will host the 2026 WVMBA-sanctioned mountain bike race, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Red Barn. The race will run through 12 p.m. and will feature competitors across multiple divisions on the park’s trail system.

“We’ve got birding, walks, hikes and all those fun outdoor activities,” White said. “People will be able to spend the weekend outside and expand their concepts of nature.”

The following weekend, Grand Vue will host Let Freedom Ring Weekend, scheduled for July 3-4.

On July 3, activities include a Red, White & Blue Craft event from 5-6 p.m. at the Activity Center. The program is free to attend.

On July 4, the park will host its annual Fourth of July Flag Hunt beginning at 9 a.m. at the Main Office. The event is free, with more than $1,500 in prizes available. Participants must register by 9:30 a.m.

Later in July, the park will host Let It Glow Weekend on July 10-11.

On July 10, visitors can take part in the “Firefly Hotel” craft activity from 4-5 p.m. at the Red Barn, where participants will build and decorate containers designed for fireflies.

On July 11, the Grand Vue & Smart Center Star Watch will take place from 8-10 p.m. at the Adventure Park. The event is free to attend.

Additional summer programming continues through the season, including Parks & People Weekend July 17-18, Christmas in July Weekend July 24-25, Labor Day Weekend Sept. 4-5, Grand Vue Fall Fest Sept. 26 and seasonal specialty events into October such as Spooky Golf on Oct. 10.

White said the park’s goal is to offer year-round programming that appeals to both overnight guests and local residents.

“We hope Grand Vue is a place that the community can enjoy,” he said. “We have all kinds of activities planned for everybody to come up and try.”
