Bob and Cheryl Scheehle of St. Clairsville celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last week with their family in Hilton Head, S.C. They were united in marriage on June 4, 1966, at the St. John Lutheran Church in Martins Ferry.

Cheryl is the daughter of the late Karl and Carrie Sommer. She is a registered nurse, a graduate of Riverside White-Cross School of Nursing, Columbus. She worked as a physician office coordinator at Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire and retired from the Belmont County Health Department.

Bob is the son of the late Robert and Evelyn Scheehle. He graduated from West Liberty State College and is a veteran of the U.S. Army and Vietnam war. After many years working in the family produce business, he retired as president of Scheehle Produce, Martins Ferry. He now works as produce associate at Walmart, St. Clairsville.

They are the parents of two children: Carriann (Patrick) Storer, St. Clairsville, and Rob (Jennifer) Scheele, Lewis Center. They have four grandchildren: Courtney and Kyle Storer, and Carsten and Aidric Scheehle.
