50th wedding anniversary
Terry and Janie Wildman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 16.
They were united in marriage July 16, 1966, at Bellaire First Methodist Church with the Rev. George Bailey officiating.
Terry is the son of the late Bob and Libby Wildman. Janie is the daughter of the late Albert and Emma Vasek.
They are the parents of two children, Taralyn (Jerry) Manukin of Brookside and Terry Jr. of Grove City. They have six grandchildren, Morgan, Jerry and MacKenzie Manukin and Kennedy, Parker and Avery Wildman.
Terry is a Vietnam veteran having served with the U.S. Marine Corps and is retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Janie is retired from the Softite Credit Union.
They celebrated with family and are planning a trip later in the fall.
50th wedding anniversary
James E. Morris and Barbara (Riser) Morris celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 2.
They were married at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Martins Ferry by the late Rev. Paul W.O. Heist. David H. Morris served as the best man for his son. Madalyn (Forbes) Stalder was maid of honor for her cousin.
Barbara is the daughter of the late Henry and Bertha Riser of Martins Ferry. Jim is the son of the late David and Rose Morris of Yorkville.
The couple has two daughters, Sheri (Jim) McElroy of Flushing and Joyce (Rich) Bradley of Tiltonsville; a special nephew Chuck Morris of Virginia; four grandchildren: Abby and Caden McElroy, and Emily and Alex McDiffitt; two stepgrandchildren: Christiana (Devin) Harrison and Lance Cpl. Thomas McElroy, USMC; and one great-grandchild: Liliana Rose Harrison.
50th wedding anniversary
Freddy and Barbara Wright of Bethesda are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. A surprise party was held July 2 in their honor at Bethesda Park with family and friends. They were united in marriage on July 9, 1966, by the Rev. Gallagher in Barnesville. Fred and Sandy Wees were their best man and maid of honor.
Barbara is the daughter of the late George and Lucille Kemp. She is one of seven sisters and seven brothers. One brother, Richard, has been reunited with their parents. Freddy is the son of the late Harry and Melvina Wright. He has one brother: Paul, Georgia and one brother, Mike, who has been reunited with their parents.
They are the parents of two daughters: Wendi (Donnie) Miller, New Concord, and Dee (Richard) Hashman, Bethesda. They have two grandsons, Logan and Kaden; granddaughter Lundyn; and the late grandson Isaiah.
