Walter Jr. and Arlene Kettler, of Wheeling, announce the engagement of their daughter, Erika Kettler, to David Shank II, son of David Sr. and Gaye Shank, of Rayland.

Kettler is a 2000 graduate of Wheeling Park High School and a 2004 graduate of West Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene. She will be attending West Liberty to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to become a registered nurse. She is employed at Wal-Mart in Triadelphia.

Shank is a 2005 graduate of Buckeye Local High School and a 2007 graduate of Jefferson Community College, where he received an associate degree in business management. He is employed as an assistant manager at Wal-Mart in Steubenville.

A June 2017 wedding is planned in Jamaica.
