JESSIE POLLOCK

Jessie M. Pollock of St. Clairsville celebrated her 106th birthday on Feb. 7. Jessie lives at home and enjoys reading her Times Leader, and completing the crosswords and the find-a-word daily.

Jessie served as the secretary for the First Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville for 17 years. She then drove a school bus for more than 10 years.

Jessie has composed hundreds of poems during her lifetime with many of these glorifying Lord Jesus and praising him for all the blessings he has freely given us.

A number of years ago she wrote a life-spanning memoir for her family and friends. Some of earliest memories include watching local young men boarding a train as they were bound for military service and World War I. She later was at the same station as these soldiers returned from the war at its ending. She remembers how all the people were crying at both events.

Jessie sends her love to everyone and wishes all well and happy. Most of all she prays that God’s love and blessings will rule in your hearts and give you everlasting peace.
