Boo at the Zoo continues at Oglebay

WHEELING — Children of all ages can still enjoy several more nights of family fun at Boo at the Zoo, the Oglebay Good Zoo’s annual fall fundraiser, presented by The Health Plan.

“Oglebay’s Boo at the Zoo is the beginning of a longer-term relationship with The Health Plan,” said Eriks Janelsins, Oglebay Foundation President and CEO. “Together, we’re looking to encourage children, families and seniors throughout the area to enjoy all the healthy experiences offered at both Oglebay and Wheeling Park. Boo at the Zoo is a family tradition that raises money to support education and conservation efforts at West Virginia’s only AZA-accredited zoo.”

Children and families alike can experience trick-or-treat stations, a spooky train ride, and a host of other scare-free Halloween activities during the last three weekends in October. Remaining dates for Boo at the Zoo are this today and Sunday, and Oct. 25-27. The event runs from 6-8:30 p.m. on Friday nights and 4-8:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday nights.

“The Health Plan sees Oglebay and Wheeling Park as an ideal partner,” said President and CEO of The Health Plan Jim Pennington. “We’re excited to be the presenting sponsor of Boo at the Zoo. The event offers children a safe place to run, play, and just be a kid. As families participate in all the fun activities, they’re exercising, socializing, learning about animals, the environment, and so much more.”

Boo at the Zoo admission and train ride tickets may be purchased online at www.oglebay.com/boo.
