MARTINS FERRY — Those looking for sweet treats to give as gifts this holiday season or to simply garnish their own dinner table at Christmastime may want to check out Tina’s Sweet Celebrations in Martins Ferry.

“We offer many different cookie trays, sweet treat bouquets and cookie baskets, Christmas doughnuts, cakes, cupcakes and cheesecakes,” owner Tina Koller said.

Koller has been a baker for more than 25 years. She also specializes in wedding and all-occasion cakes.

During the past few years, Tina’s has also expanded its menu to include savory items enjoyed by many for lunch or an early dinner. Each weekday typically includes a featured lunch combination special such as cabbage rolls and mashed potatoes, sloppy joe and cheesy bacon potatoes, chicken pot pie, meatball subs and macaroni and cheese, sausage sandwich and cabbage and noodles, hot turkey sandwiches with gravy, meatloaf and more.

There is also a grab-and-go station featuring chicken salad sandwiches, pasta salads, soups of the day, pepperoni rolls and more.

Tina’s is located at 819 S. Zane Highway, Martins Ferry. The shop is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Saturday and is closed on Sundays.

Tina’s also stays active in helping the community by donating baked goods. For example, when the Martins Ferry Youth Center was open prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tina’s frequently donated items for the children there to eat.

Back in October, Tina’s teamed up with the youth center for a free meal giveaway at City Park to feed any child who showed up. Tina’s provided a chicken casserole bake, pepperoni rolls and cupcakes. The youth center volunteers also gave drinks, chips and candy from Grace Presbyterian Church.
