Multiple fire departments responded to an electrical fire late Tuesday morning at a home along Chestnut Street in Barnesville. Fire Chief Tim Hall said he received the call around 11:20 a.m. Barnesville responded along with Somerton and Bethesda fire departments. Hall said they were quickly able to extinguish the small fire in the attic of the home. No injuries were reported and only minor damage was sustained in the attic where the fire originated. Hall said luckily the homeowners were home when the fire ignited and responded quickly.
