The Belmont County Auditor’s Office has new online resources for taxpayers

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Belmont County Auditor Cindi Henry is encouraging all taxpayers of Belmont County to take the opportunity to visit the County Auditor’s website with regards to their individual tax bills. The link is belmontcountyauditor.org/real-estate-taxes-appraisal

Taxpayers may have noticed that their tax bills that were sent from the Belmont County Treasurer now reflect a colored pie chart with a breakdown of the public entities that receive the benefit of your tax dollars.

This new look is a result of a newly installed software in the Auditor’s Real Estate Office.

As a result of new software, the website also reflects a basic breakdown of where taxes are distributed, it also lists the actual breakdown of the dollar amounts and the government agencies receiving those dollars for operational purposes.

Users can click on Levy Distribution.

It is strongly suggested everyone visit this site.

Also, there are several adjustments that can be made on taxes for those who qualify. Taxpayers are asked to check and see if they are receiving the Owner-Occupancy Credit and the Homestead Credit, as well as CAUV.

Feel free to contact the Real Estate Office for additional information at 740-699-2132.
