At 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to an address on Barton Road in Barton for a report of domestic trouble. A caller reported that her husband was intoxicated and was on the porch screaming and yelling. An officer responded. One male was arrested and taken to jail.
At 10:39 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop in Picoma Road in Martins Ferry issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for traveling outside of marked lanes.
At 8:50 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a group of teenagers fighting in a parking lot at an address on National Road in Bridgeport. Bridgeport police made contact with one male, and another took off on foot on U.S. 40. A deputy searched for the individual who took off. A sergeant contacted a parole officer for one of the individuals, according to the report.
At 7:02 p.m. Monday, a caller from an address on North Main Street in Bethesda reported that she could hear yelling and screaming like people are fighting. Officers responded and found a broken door at a residence and a female crying inside. However, she refused to answer questions or provide any details about what happened, and she advised deputies to leave the residence. A grandmother was called to the scene to take custody of a juvenile, and Child Protective Services was contacted.
At 6:24 p.m. Monday, a deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired tag on Ohio 7 south in Bridgeport. The officer was granted consent to search, and narcotics were located, according to the report. One female was taken to jail.
At 3:30 p.m. Monday, several officers responded to Ohio 9 to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Cadiz Police, Richland Township police and St. Clairsville police on a high-speed chase out of Harrison County. A spike strip was deployed on Mills Road. Four individuals were arrested, according to the report, which stated that a meth pipe was found in a cup holder in the vehicle, along with a clear plastic baggie with a crystalloid substance.
At 2:38 p.m. Monday, a deputy was out with a vehicle on the side of the Hammond Road Connector in Richland Township. The motorist was having brake issues and was attempting to get it towed.
At 1:02 p.m. Monday, a deputy on a special detail performed a walk-through at Bellaire Middle School on Neffs-Bellaire Road.
At 11:11 a.m. Monday, a deputy assisted Bridgeport police on a call regarding two dogs running loose in the area of North Lincoln Avenue in Bridgeport. The animal shelter was contacted. Both dogs were placed in a vehicle, and the animal shelter took custody of them.
At 10:11 a.m. Monday, a deputy was out with a disabled semi at a location on Mall Road in Richland Township. Officials attempted to contact Stonebreaker’s.
At 8:16 a.m. Monday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Dixon Hill Road in Bellaire issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for speeding.
At 1:11 a.m. Monday, Bellaire police requested assistance with a possible foot pursuit on Noble Street in Bellaire following an alleged assault or fight. Units assisted by searching the area for suspects with negative results, according to the report.
At 7:50 p.m. Monday, a caller reported a physical altercation at Glenwood Village on Belmont Street in Bethesda. Deputies responded to the report of domestic trouble and took information for a report.
