WHEELING — The Thursday Music Club will hold its next meeting at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Char House on the Boulevard in Bethlehem.

Entertainment for the meeting will be provided by Naomi Torres, winner of the Gretchen McKee Scholarship at West Liberty University. Torres, a sophomore music technology major, has been passionate about singing since childhood. Born in Buffalo, New York, and raised in Richmond, Virginia, she has sung in church with her family and participated in numerous educational music opportunities. She has also conducted choirs and operated live sound systems, experiences she says helped shape her career path. Torres is looking forward to performing for club members and guests.

Reservations for the luncheon should be made by Sunday, Sept. 28, by calling Sandy Smith at 304-242-1628. Annual membership in the Thursday Music Club is open to anyone interested. The greeters for October will be Alice Runkle and Betty Lane.

The Thursday Music Club chorus, under the direction of Anita Chops with accompanist Debbie Breiding, rehearses every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon at Elm Grove United Methodist Church. Those interested in joining the club or chorus may contact Chops at 304-551-1414.
