At 10:11 p.m. Thursday, a deputy assisted Bellaire Police with a large fight at a location on Monroe Street in Bellaire. Bridgeport and Shadyside police also assisted.
At 9:10p.m. Thursday, a deputy assisted St. Clairsville Police with a traffic stop on East Main Street and Orchard Drive in St. Clairsville. The officer was granted consent to search, according to the report, and a small amount of marijuana was taken to be destroyed, according to the report.
At 8:56 p.m. Thursday, a deputy was out assisting Bridgeport Police with a call about someone slumped over their steering wheeling in the parking lot of Dollar General on National Road in Bridgeport. Upon arrival, the officer reported a male was alert and talking. He was just tired after working all day and was bidding on stuff at M@C Bids, according to the report.
At 8:02 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Belmont County 911 center on Bannock Road in St. Clairsville. Someone pulled into the lot but had not gotten out of the vehicle. According to the report, this was employees of the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office meeting to go over new shift changes.
At 6:16 p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to Walmart in the Ohio Valley Plaza in St. Clairsville for a report of an infant in a locked car that was running.
At 6:11 p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to Big Lots on National Road in Bridgeport for a report on a motor vehicle accident with property damage only.
At 5:54 p.m. Thursday, a deputy on a traffic stop at a location on Interstate 470 at Ohio 7 in Pultney Township issued a warning to a West Virginia motorist for an illegal U-turn.
At 3:15 p.m. Thursday, a caller from Clifton Street in Barnesville reported that he was getting calls from someone saying that he’s talking to an underaged girl online. A deputy advised that this was likely a scam. The faller reported the incident to his bank and requested that report be placed on file.
At 1:24 p.m. Thursday, a school resource office at the Belmont Career Center on Hammond Road in St. Clairsville requested a report number for an incident involving vaping and possession of THC paraphernalia.
At 1:10 p.m. Thursday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Noble Street in Pultney Township issued a warning to a West Virginia motorist for a stop sign violation.
At 11:06 a.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to an address on National Road in Bridgeport for a report of damage to a sign. Information was taken for a vandalism report.
At 10:31 a.m. Thursday, a caller from Powhatan Elementary School on Mt. Victory Road in Powhatan Point reported that a student allegedly made threatening statements toward a teacher and had been drawing images of firearms. Due to the nature of the behavior, the juvenile prosecutor was contacted for guidance. The prosecutor advised that the child, who was 8, was too young for court proceedings and recommended that the family pursue an inpatient psychiatric evaluation and care. Parents were contacted, and health care officials responded to the school to assist in the situation.
At 10:10 a.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Brookside Avenue in Bridgeport after the Ohio State Highway Patrol requested that the sheriff’s office handle the call.
At 8:34 a.m. Thursday, a caller reported that a child was chasing another child with an axe on South 26 Road in Bethesda. Deputies responded and advised that this was an Amish tree service working in the area.
At 8:33 a.m. Thursday, a caller from Jeru West Drive in Barnesville reported threats and harassment to Barnesville Police. A deputy responded. Information was taken for a report.
At 8:06 a.m. Thursday, a school resource office at the Belmont Career Center requested a report number for a fight at the school.
At 4:20 a.m. Thursday, a caller from Crescent Road in St. Clairsville reported that her friend was having an adverse reaction to a THC gummy. Colerain and Barton EMS responded and cleared the patient. The property owner gave permission for the two individuals to be at the residence, according to the report.
At 3:02 a.m. Thursday, a caller from Blaine-Chermont Road in Bridgeport reported that his neighbor was blaring music. An officer patrolled the area, but heard nothing.
At 1:14 a.m. Thursday, a caller from Morgan Hill Road in Maynard stated that he has been watching a bar for six months and has recordings of possible illegal activities going on. The male complainant has a history of mental health issues, according to the report. A deputy attempted to contact the caller, but the calls would not go through, according to the report. The officer also patrolled the area but did not come in contact with anyone.
At 8:37 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to an address on Boyd Avenue in Bridgeport on a request for a welfare check on an individual. This was a medical call in which emergency medical service personnel handled the call.
At 6:20 p.m. Sunday, units were dispatched to assist St. Clairsville Police near Maple Avenue in St. Clairsville for a report of a male running from officers. The units did not locate the suspect, according to the report.
At 5:37 p.m. Sunday, a caller from Shaver Hill Road in Shadyside reported an active domestic. Deputies and units from the Shadyside Police Department responded.
At 3:30 p.m. Sunday, a caller from Clark Road in St. Clairsville reported that a friend would not give him back his property that he left at the house two years ago. The complainant was advised that this was a civil matter.
At 2:02 p.m. Sunday, an officer responded to an address on National Road in St. Clairsville for a report of a woman clumped over the steering wheel of a truck that was still running. After the officer arrived, the woman denied EMS. A male came to the scene with a valid prescription Subutex that was found on the female. She and the truck were released to him, the report indicated.
At 1:01 p.m. Sunday, a caller got into a verbal dispute at Bob Evans with another male. The caller went to Walmart and wanted to speak with a deputy. A deputy responded. The complainant gave his side of the story in case the other party called in, according to the report.
At 11:51 p.m. Sunday, a 911 hang-up call was received from an address on Barnesville-Bethesda Road in Barnesville. Central dispatch was unable to call the number back. A deputy responded and made contact with the homeowners. Everything was OK, according to the report, which stated that the male was having issues with his cell phone.
At 8:13 a.m. Sunday, a caller from an address on Main Street in Morristown stated that he had been held hostage for three days. A mechanic was doing work on his truck, and the tires were off, according to the report, which stated that the caller was sleeping in the truck. The caller stated that the mechanic had a gun, although the caller stated that he had not seen the gun and stated that no physical violence had taken place. Officers responded and reported that no threats were made. This was a civil matter, and the complainant was free to walk away, the report noted.
At 1:31 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to Pine Lake Trailer Court on National Road in Belmont after a 911 call was received. A female could be heard on the line, but central dispatch reported that it was hard to make out what was being said. Deputies made contact with the caller, who advised there was a verbal argument between her and her husband, who had left. Nothing physical took place, and no threats were made, according to the report. The female was not being very cooperative and just wanted to go back inside, officers noted. Deputies advised her to call if anything happened.
At 1:12 a.m. Sunday, an officer was out with a suspicious female walking on National Road near Comfort Inn in St. Clairsville. According to the officer, a mother and teenage daughter had gotten into an argument. The mother left the residence and walked to the Comfort Inn to get away from the daughter for the evening, according to the report.
