Winter Wonderland Craft Show on Saturday
MINGO JUNCTION — Holiday shoppers can find some gift ideas this weekend at the fourth-annual Winter Wonderland Craft Show at Indian Creek Middle School.
Activities are hosted by the school PTO and get underway on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 60 vendors will be on hand peddling their wares while some food trucks will have goodies for purchase, plus it will also include a 50/50 raffle and chance auction.
“We have three food trucks coming and our 50/50 this year will benefit the Mingo Police Department’s Cops & Crusaders program to take some of the area youth Christmas shopping,” said organizer Jenna Patton. “Proceeds benefit the PTO, which helps provide items for various pantries at the school for food, hygiene and clothing. We also help offset the fees associated with the PBIS field trips and help stock the Tomahawk Store. This year, we plan on adding a catered lunch for the staff.”
Patton has planned the event to benefit the school and said it was also a great way to provide a fun event for the community. Among the items available for sale are jewelry, baked goods, wreaths, T-shirts, home decor, 3-D printed novelties, and tumblers.
“I wanted to help contribute and be the difference we need to see for our future generations,” she added. “The kids need to know people care, even if it’s a pair of gloves, a hat, or food for them to take home.”
The event is free to attend and shop, and it is open to the public. Patton said it has been well-attended and she anticipated a similar response.
“We hope to see a great turnout as we have in the years past,” she concluded.
