Wheeling Fire Department fights house fire

There were no injuries as a result of a house fire on Virginia Street in Wheeling, Wheeling Fire Department spokesman Philip Stahl said. Wheeling Firefighters were called to Virginia Street at approximately 9:40 a.m. Monday morning for a reported structure fire. Crews located the fire in the rear of the home on the first floor and immediately began extinguishing the flames. Firefighters quickly brought the situation under control, and the occupant was not injured. No other injuries were reported.
