STEUBENVILLE — Franciscan University of Steubenville welcomed Pope Leo XIV's proclamation of 2026 as the Jubilee Year of St. Francis of Assisi in honor of the 800th anniversary of his death. To celebrate, the university has designated several chapels on campus as pilgrimage destinations throughout the year and will host a major academic conference on St. Francis in the fall. Tax bills mailed to Belmont County residents

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Belmont County Treasurer Katherine J. Kelich announced Wednesday that the first-half of 2025 real estate tax and 2026 manufactured home tax bills have been mailed. Property owners not receiving their first-half bills by Feb. 7 should contact the Treasurer’s office at 740-699-2145. The due date for payment is Friday, Feb. 20. A postmark of Feb. 20 is accepted as a timely payment. Under current USPS policy, postmarks are applied at processing centers, so taxpayers mailing close to the due date should request an in-person, hand-stamped postmark at the post office ...
