WHEELING — An early morning shooting Saturday led to one victim in stable but critical condition, a pursuit, and the shooter dead by self-inflicted gunshot. Ohio County deputies were called to the Triadelphia area due to a victim being shot around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. Jail cost bill mounting up for Ohio County

WHEELING — The cost of incarcerating those arrested in Ohio County through the West Virginia Department of Corrections was just under $1 million for the 2024-25 fiscal year, and is on track to be nearly double that for 2025-26, according to Ohio County Administrator Randy Russell.
