STEUBENVILLE — City voters navigated a busy ballot to approve all eight charter revisions and return two council incumbents to another term. Unofficial results show Second Ward Councilman Tracy McManamon, the incumbent, easily defeated his write-in opponent, Derek Smith, while incumbent Fourth Ward Councilman Royal Mayo, a Democrat, took a 29-vote margin of victory over Republican newcomer Marc Barnes. STEUBENVILLE — Jefferson County voters chose to continue funding their public library Tuesday, passing a 1-mill, five-year levy renewal considered crucial to maintaining operations and services. Miner hospitalized after Pennsylvania mine accident

One miner remains hospitalized after an underground accident at the Harvey Mine in Greene County late Monday night. Six miners were initially taken to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment after the incident, which involved a pressurized water hose, mine owner Core Natural Resources said in a statement Tuesday morning.
