ST. CLAIRSVILLE — George Diab, property manager at the Ohio Valley Mall, is being treated for injuries sustained in a fall Thursday morning.

Joe Bell, spokesman for mall parent Cafaro Co., said Diab was conducting a routine construction inspection when he fell about 8 feet over a parapet wall on the mall roof. Construction workers administered first aid until medical personnel with the Cumberland Trail Fire District arrived about 10 minutes after the incident, Bell said.

Diab was transported by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital. Bell said he was responsive when transported and is being treated for injuries to his head and leg. Bell said he hoped additional information on Diab’s condition would be available later Thursday.
